Good question.

If you look at successful tennis players who are at the top of their game, how often do you see them looking to their coach during a game?  For a tennis player to be that good, you would question why they need a coach?  What a coach sees in their client, is so much more than the client ever sees themselves.
 
An outstanding coach provides perspective, experience, support and strategies to their clients, to enable them to maximise their potential to succeed in all aspects of their life.

What is Life Coaching?

The International Coaching Federation definition states 'The partnering with clients in a thought provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximise their personal and professional potential.'

Life Coaching is a recognised and proven method that enables clients to achieve life long dreams and goals.

The coaching process can be challenging, yet surprising, revealing and unlocking deep held mindsets and habits, that have stifled clients for years.  Establishing this self awareness and self realisation is the key to achieving sustained change in the individual.

What is NLP?

NLP stands for Neuro Linguistic Programming and was developed in the 1970's at the university of California.  Its primary founders are John Grinder, a linguistic and Richard Bandler, an information scientist and mathematician.

The Good Therapy's definition of NLP is 'A psychological approach that involves analysing strategies used by successful individuals and applying them to reach a personal goal. It relates thoughts, language and patterns of behaviour learned through experience to specific outcomes.'

An NLP Master Practitioner will be professionally certified in the skills and techniques of NLP at Practitioner and Master Practitioner level. They will be assessed on their mastery of NLP as a skillset.

An NLP Master Practitioner will be rewarded for the extra study time and practical time spent applying the skills with others by developing a deep understanding of the subject, techniques and how the different techniques interact with each other to produce their results.

NLP Master Practitioners will generally have more options available in terms of solutions for their clients and techniques that they can use.

NLP Master Practitioners will be skilled to mix and match NLP techniques for unique and bespoke solutions for their clients.

Wikipedia states 'NLP asserts that there is a connection between neurological processes (Neuro), language (Linguistic) and acquired behavioural patterns (Programming) and that these can be changed to achieve specific goals in life.'

What can I expect from my initial contact with JennyB?

At the initial contact you will have the opportunity to talk to JennyB either virtually, phone or over email, to decide if she is the type of person that you want to work with.

You will discuss what it is that you would like coaching for, and then be able to work together to structure a tailored plan for you.

You can make the decision immediately or take time to consider your thoughts.  Any quote given is valid for 28 days.

Who is JennyB?

JennyB is a professional certified NLP Master Practitioner and Life Coach. 
She is also a STAR certified Trainer.

JennyB has coached and trained individuals and groups within a variety of industries from a major utility company, to Children Services to a major cruise liner.

During JennyB's career she has coached clients of different nationalities, ages, levels and personalities that has given her great insight into how we operate as people.

JennyB has seen significant results in coaching her clients that include; songs that have been sung, books written, jobs changed, languages learnt, relationships improved and potential realised.

What can  I expect from a coaching session?

Each session is 50 minutes.

The most popular method is virtual, however sessions can be over the phone or face to face if within the Southampton area.  The method can be chosen by the client for their comfort and convenience.

Each coaching session is a collaboration between JennyB and the client, covering areas such as goals, beliefs, values, barriers with the flexibility to discuss more.

Everything discussed is confidential (unless there is disclosure of harm or potential harm to the client or other).

At the end of each coaching session, agreed objectives are to be completed before the next session.

For JennyB to prepare for the next session, the client will send through an update of their progress and discussion points for the upcoming session, 24 hours beforehand.

After the initial agreed set of sessions, further sessions can be arranged on an adhoc basis.

Does JennyB offer remote coaching?

JennyB offers virtual, telephone and if preferred, face to face, life coaching within the Southampton area.

Most clients prefer remote coaching - this has become more popular since the pandemic, due to the accessibility and ease of use for many.

When we encounter fear, and desire change, it can often feel like an internal struggle, making the process seem quite overwhelming.

The concern over how others might react or behave can significantly influence our thought process and hinder our ability to make decisions. This often leaves us feeling paralyzed, unable to take action, which can intensify our emotional state and lead to negative emotions.

The good news is the fear of making change is worse than the change itself.  Sometimes we just need the support to help us through these times and someone to be there through the process.
